Sorry for the mass email, but a worthy email it is.

Well folks--

It's nearly upon us. A chance for us all to spend a fun-
filled evening together united by the cause of independent
media and witnessing a show by some of CU's most dynamic,
energetic and creative bands. Saturday December 14 at the
Highdive in lovely downtown Champaign, Illinois at 7pm will
commence an evening of rock and the Public I. The lineup will
be as follows:

American Minor
The Invisible
Idle Hours
Free Form Sessions

American Minor is the new band in town that's taking the scene by storm. In the midst of negotiations with major labels, this is the perfect opportunity to be able to say that you saw them before they blew up. Combining a spirited live performance, a country twang, and indie sensibilities, this band delivers an amazing barrage of rollicking songs and a shy, yet supremely confident presence. They're never afraid to be a little self-deprecating, but American Minor doesn't need to be. This band has it.
The Invisible consists of some life-long local boys who will be releasing their debut album, Here It Comes, the night before this benefit. Brothers Kris and Karl Bauer have crafted well-written, melodic rock that thunders, and thanks to newcomers Travis Smith and Phil Summers, this band has a newfound energy that will have you rushing to buy their CD.

The Idle Hours live performance is full of intensity, screaming, television, smashing, birthday cakes, and stream-of-thought monologues about going to the bathroom that promise a good time for all who are willing to risk being devoured by the cream.

Freeform Sessions is another set of hometown boys that uses a hip-hop to convey messages of nonconformity, unity, peace, and politicism. Backed by a live band, MC's take turns rhyming over some jam beats. This band will be first, so get to the show early.

Get there early because you don't want to miss any of these
tremendous bands.

Thanks for all your support and we hope to see you on Sat.
night, 7pm sharp! Only $5-20 (sliding).
