Unofficial Minutes from the October 9th meeting of the Students for Nader

Call to order at 6:07pm

We voted between several worthy choices for in-flight videos.
"The Big One" and "Roger and Me" was most popular, but the committee on
organizing the bus reserves the right to override the popular vote in favor of
seeing a
non Michael Moore video for variety's sake.

Bus ride for the 10-10-10,000 rally is a go. "The Shuttle," an MTD bus takes
people from the Quad to the pick-up spot (Lot E-14) (first and Kirby).
The bus will LEAVE at 4:30. Be there early to get settled, please.

Zach is organizing the car pooling. Basically, car poolers shall meet with
the bus at
lot E-14. If you didn't get on the bus, then there will be room in someone's
car.

Emergency last hour calls for help or rides are to be directed to Zach's
cellular
phone# 390-1865 Zach is a miracle worker. He will get you to Chicago.

Tabling:
Tracy implied we're tabling on Wednesday by virtue of a "See you on Wednesday"

remark. We sent around a list of people to volunteer to keep the table
alive. Daria
will email this list to the group to remind people. I enter a special plea
for help at the
table. We are only doing this one day this week. PLEASE stop by and help us
get
the word out on Wednesday. We especially need people between 12:00 - 1:00pm.

Open Mic:
Thursday is open mic in front of the Union between 12:00 - 1:00 for a
speak-out.
If you have anything pro Nader to say to everyone, this is the time. Just a
short
explanation of why you are voting for Nader is probably most effective. We
need
MAYBE people during this special hour. It's really cool. Anyone can do this!

Future plans:
Next Friday (10/20), Rally for the Women's Direct Action Collective. Zach is
making 200 flyers tailored special for this event. There may be an open mic
for this
too. Think about talking for these people about Ralph Nader.

Debate Committee:
So far committee members are Robert Dunn and Matt. Debate will be held at
Allen
Hall. The main pieces are in place for this, just detail work to be done. We
need
volunteers to make this happen. Email Robert at: prorobert8 at hotmail.com to get

involved!

Meeting Adjourned at 6:55pm.

Respectfully Submitted,
Ilan Eyman
