Hello everyone,
We are going to be walking the streets and giving out materials door to
door on Sunday

Here's the plan: Nader may not win Illinois, but there is no reason he
can't win a few precincts here in C-U. A precinct is a small area which
encompases all of the people who vote at the same place. There are about
800 people in each precinct.

So how can we win some precincts? By getting out the word on Ralph
Nader. By now, most people have heard about Ralph Nader, but many of
them don't have a good idea of where he stands on many issues. If they
did know, they would be much more likely to vote for him. So, strarting
on Sunday, we are going to a few key precincts and putting informaiton
on where Ralph stands at every door - that's right all 800 voters will
have information direct from us. We are also hoping to run and endorse
candiates in local elections in the spring, so handing out info now lets
people know that we exist. Note, we are not going to try to knock on
every door and talk to everyone this first day, we will just leave the
flyers at the door. So even if you feel you are not the most eloquent
spokesperson you can participate. Families are especially welcome.

So if you are interested, meet at the office on Sunday at 1 pm. The
office is at the corner of Church St and Randolf St. in Champaign. I
don't know how many precincts we will try to walk, that depends on how
many people show up. Bring a backpack or bag to carry the info in (we
will also give out bumper stickers and buttons to anyone who asks us for
one) and carry something to drink. If you can drive, please do so. Any
questions? Contact me at
337-1125.

John Paul
